Deep within the cave the children found the tazzledraw. The cat mewed helplessly as the creature stroked its fur.
"He's not yours! Give him back!" the girl shouted angerly as her friend clutched his hands, glancing nervously at the large teeth on the creature.
"Or else what? I found him; he's mine!" the tazzledraw hissed back. He was not about to relinquish his prize. But tazzledraws were very competitive creatures, and the girl knew this.
"I'll challenge you to a game," she said, smirking, "If I win, I get my cat back."
the creature's eyes lit up. "Accepted! However, if you lose, I get a new pet..."

I want to write a children's book with random fantastical creatures, children, and a cat.

First off I have to say, I just lost the game, second off, that's lovely.

I like it, the whole dark yet cool look of the dragon. If you're going for a children's book keep in mind that you can't make them too creepy. lol

DANGIT MERA YOU MADE ME LOSE

This is awesome, though. I always find it interesting to look at dragon-like creatures that aren't your everyday dragons -- I spent a good five minutes just checking this out and looking at the ears (I love those ears) and the extra arms and wings and body shape and everything...I think you do a good job of presenting these fantastic attributes in a realistic way. :) So good work! Can't wait to see more!

Thank you for the comment, but I'd really appreciate that if you wanted to link to an outside art source that you give me a reason such as "this makes me think of this" or at the very least just say "Could you take a look at my art"

I'm going to hide the comment.

Brave girl and nicely drawn. I can see this as a children's book. So lets hope I do one day. ^_^

Since we can't call people without wings angels, we call them friends.
