A sort of gift for because I wanted to digitally color.
edit---
So anyway, it's an illustration for Hyun of his character Haraan trying to escape after he gets shot when he transforms into a dragon. I sort of thought of this as a orcadolphin or a Dolforca or whatever, but then messed around with some awesome dinosaur influences for Haraan. (this is why I kept bothering you, Hyun) The crazy chest muscles, while unrealistic, are there because they look cool, and I was giving it a dragon sans wings feel. I want to try a version sans chest, because honestly... sea creatures don't have pecks xD

Well, it was a test on water coloring, but I think that I failed because I was in too much of a hurry. This honestly needs a lot of touching up, which I might do later as right now I have no great idea on how. I'm just disappoitned, because I feel like the lineart is a lot better than the coloring. Saddly, however, I work SO much, most of my art is sketched inbetween classes, and this only came about from divine inspiration plus a few extra hours without work looming ahead of me. I can't honestly say how long any piece of artwork I ever did takes me, because of the simple fact that I genearlly don't sit down and finish art anymore, because I have to keep running up and cleaning the house/my room/going to work/doing homework/appeasing the little brother/yelling at the cat/taking a nap or whatever. I can honestly say, though, that this needs at least a couple more horus of straight working to make it better.

It's my interpritation of the event, and hopefully it doesn't bother Hyun too much :D

Phah! Your coloring skills are amazing!

I wish I could color even half that well!

Just about the only thing that is 'bad' as far as the coloring are the distracing lighter lines on the large rock. It confuses me about the shape, because the squiglies only look like that on flat-ish surfaces.

The rest of the effect is great, on the other rocks and especially on the...Urr... Whatchamathingy. xD

He should start looking in front of him, or else he'll have a lot more places where blood's coming out... if the tall, spire-like rocks continue.

Doesn't look bad to me. The coloring's actually quite good. Really oceanic.

...ooh, shark things in the background!

It's sad. :( But great piece! It is a little dark, but other than that, I think the colors are fine!

The ocean depths is interpeted really well, as well as the sun shining through the water. I likes :)

I will call that a total lack of research on the subject of squigglies.

I'll make it a note to look it up soon and fix anythign if I decided to re-color this :)
