True fact: I adore drawing people.
Sad fact: I draw animals and fantasy shenanigans FAR MORE.

Now, I've always found it interesting that so few people seem to cross between drawing human art and drawing animal art and fantasy. I consider myself an animal artist, but I love figures. I want to be better at them (therefore more people in my recent art). I've always expressed how disappointed I am that so few people commission me to draw people. I ADORE fantasy elements, yes, but most people who seem to follow my work are bigger fans of non human elements.

That's all just fine, by the way. I'm just curious what the general crowd of my DA watchers like.

Also, is it just me, or do animal artists have a horrible time at human anatomy and human artists have a terrible time at animal anatomy? I think it gets even crazier when you start going into mecha/robots/cars. It's like few people try and do all three.

also: don't worry, your viewpoint won't offend me in any way. If you like/dislike my trend of drawing more humans, I will appreciate your comments any way!

Discuss: what type of art DO you like?

I figure the majority here don't like em'...

But me? Look at the classics in the world. Humans of course.

*shrug* Don't mind them. You can do a lot more with a picture just beyond the subject. Well, at least that's what I've noticed. >_>

That's sort of what it seems. I figure I disappoint some of my older watchers by migrating into more human art :3 But I really love drawing them! and yes, I so agree that you can get so much with a picture beyond the subject matter!

I'm not really asking what I should draw as much as I'm curious what the people on DA like in comparison to say RL friends.

*shakes his head* Do what you wish missy. If folks stop watching you I'm certain you'll easily get them back with others.

I said 'other' because humans are who are MAKING the art, for the most part, even digital art. To have humans in any form, even abstractly, is good, but for certain is not entirely the only thing to do. Your trend into more human figure stuff is a great way to study the species' peculiarities of form (not that humans are peculiar or anything). As a young friend might say: more peeps!
